North Shore Running Project: Track & Field and XC  High School Training Program

This five week program teaches serious high school athletes techniques and training methods that professional athletes use to get in top form. Over the course of five weeks, our experienced coaching staff will cover the following:

Pre-Season Conditioning

Injury Prevention Techniques

Form and technique evaluation (video taped and reviewed)

Cutting Edge drills and plyos for specific event

The perfect warm up routine

Summer training strategies (*work with current coaches to develop summer and year long training strategy)

Weekly review of training log
When: Mondays 5:30pm, Wednesday 5:30(optional) Saturdays  9:30am

Who: Athletes of all levels, ages 13+.

Marathon & Half Marathon Training Program

Always wanted to try a marathon? Are you stuck running the same times? Tired of running alone? This 12 week program will guide you through training for a fall 1/2 and full marathon and is open to runners of all abilities. Athletes meet 2x a week, once for an organized workout and once for an organized long run or tempo run. An individualized program is recommended but not required. Learn from experienced runners/coaches how to train to be your best!

*This program is co-sponsored by Salem Park Recreation and Community Service Department.

When: Thursdays 6:30pm and Saturdays 7:30am July 17-Oct 2 (Free clinic on July 10) 6:30pm at Bertram Field  Track at the Collins Middle School.

Who: Athletes of all levels, ages 13+.
